Project Overview
This was a fast-paced project (64 weeks) for our client Fajon Construction located in the Barberstown area of Dublin. The scheme consisted of 235 apartments and 12 townhouses over 3 blocks each with two cores, the blocks ranged from five floors to seven floors high.
Works consisted of:
- Heating generated within the plantroom using Hamworthy Wessex Modumax gas boiler systems and is circulated and distributed around a piped heating network within the carpark and each riser to each apartment via a Wilo triplex circulating pump arrangement within the plantroom
- Each apartment is fitted with a Danfoss heat interface unit
- Each apartment is ventilated using a Vent Axia sentinel Kinetic plus MVHR unit
- Each apartment is provided with cold water from a communal 70,000 litre cold water storage tank
- HDPE fusion weld soild and rainwater pipework throughout the building
- Full BMS control system to monitor and control all of the communal plant within both the plant room and tank room
- A gas detection system to monitor for both natural gas and carbon monoxide within the plantroom
- Automatic pressurisation unit & expansion for the heating system
- Stainless steel flues for the Boiler, CHP and electrical generator from the ground floor plant room to the roof level
- Bin store extract ventilation including fire dampers
- Cleaners store ventilation including fire dampers
- Electrical generator ventilation including fire rated ducting, fire smoke dampers, control panel and intake/exhaust louvres
- Boosted CAT 5 system to supply bin store taps and irrigation taps for the first floor podium greenery areas above the carpark
- Underground fusion weld MDPE gas pipework from the GNI gas meter skid to the plantroom
- Apartment flatpack MVHR ductwork, CWS and soils pipework
- Versatile Radik compact radiators and chrome towel rails for each of the apartments
